The Photographic Narrative

By applying his personal vision of photography, Alex Majoli will help students develop their own style and approach to photographic narration. Majoli asks students to bring a portfolio of their best work to the first session of the workshop. The portfolio should include 15 - 30 images and can be on paper or digital.   With reviews of student's portfolios their narrative direction will be discovered and then developed through assignments given during the workshop. A conclusive list of story ideas will be made available to students, especially useful for those not from the area.  Students will be photographing daily and with editing sessions, either in a group setting or individually, each student will be able to define their style and personal path in photography. On Monday evening we will hold a public projection of the work made during the workshop.

How to apply: This workshop is designed for serious amateur and professional photographers. Applicants should email a short written description of their photographic experience and a selection of their best work. (10 photos at 425 x 624 pixels, 72dpi) The deadline for applications is the 19th of September. The organization will be in touch with each person by the 22nd of September.
