Aleppo Gallery

Yahia Berro is Palestinian from Safad, born in Syria in 1955. Living in Al Nairab camp in Aleppo, Yahia is a photographer and a documentary film director.   He has taught photography in the Center of Applied Arts in Aleppo and has participated in workshops and exhibitions in Syria, Lebanon, France and Switzerland. He is the head of the Palestinian Film Club and works continuously to document Palestinian oral history. For the workshop Yahia decided to spotlight a person who's unnoticed:  "Ahmad Yassir: The Flute Player". Yahia documented the making of the musical instruments from start to finish. With his photographs Yahia introduces us to an unrecognized craftsman and musician.
