Nazem Jawish was born in Afrin, Syria in 1972.   A full time worker at a textile factory, Nazem began studying photography at Le Pont Organization.   Using his photography as a voice for the "voiceless" he began to document his fellow workers at the factory.   His work has been shown in various exhibitions both in Syria and in Europe.   This was the first workshop Nazem has attended and short for time because of his job, he chose a subject that allowed him to photograph daily on his way to and from work. Concerned about the conditions in which many people live and subsist and using a basic necessity like food "How We Feed Ourselves" is a project about community and health.
