Damascus Gallery

Guevara Nemer was born in Damscus in 1984.   She is currently studying photography at the Institute of Applied Arts in Damscus.   Since 2005 she has also worked, both as a designer and as a magazine and newspaper photographer.   She is a member of the Syrian Photography Club.   For the workshop Guevara decided to concentrate her photography on a neighborhood lived in mostly by Kurds.   The neighborhood was built to house the construction workers of the more affluent blocks of flats that are now right next to it.
