Frank Coles was born in Wales in 1973. He is a successful freelance writer, journalist, book editor and copywriter. He currently lives in Dubai, using the UAE as a base to explore the region. Combined with more than a decade working in film and television in the UK he has written on a wide variety of subjects for just about every medium in Europe, North America and the Middle East. Educated to Masters level in Science and Computing he began taking occasional pictures three years ago and has had modest success contributing pictures with his editorial work, for clients such as the Guardian, BBC, Fox and Channel Four. For his workshop project, Frank explored the streets of Deira, both a residental and a commercial shopping district on the opposite side of the Creek from Bur Dudai.
