Dina Debbas is a freelance photographer. She has portrayed war, family sittings, poverty and politicians with a focus on the human element in them all. With a background in graphic design, Dina has worked as a photojournalist covering the summer 2006 Lebanon war for IRIN and UNICEF. She participated in social-humanitarian projects, working with Medical Mission for Children in Ecuador and photographing women in the Palestinian refugee camps for INAASH. Dina has photographed political personalities such as the slain Lebanese journalist Gibran Tueini and Hezbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and a CARITAS medical campaign in Lebanon. She has published her work internationally. Dina runs her own B&W portrait studio. For the workshop Dina choose to document a children's orphanage in Beirut.
