Aleppo Gallery

Dalia Ghazal was born in Beirut, Lebanon, where she lived for seven years until her family moved to Aleppo, Syria. Dalia is a student at the Icarda International School of Aleppo, which has become like a second home to her. Ever since she was a child she loved to draw and the best gift anyone could give her was a pencil and paper. But as she grew older, the objects she saw grew more complicated and her sketches didn't satisfy her anymore. She turned to photography and in the beginning, she took pictures of everything and never really paid attention to any of the technical elements of photography. She later joined a photography class at school where she was able to learn more about the medium, working with B&W film she learnt how to develop and print which was a rewarding experience for her. For this workshop, Dalia chose to photograph in the park next to her house. She titled her project "A Walk in the Park".
