Jose Manuel Navia

José Manuel Navia was born in 1957 in Madrid . In 1980 he received a degree in Philosophy. Starting out in photojournalism it took a while for Navia to give the necessary attention to his personal photographic projects. Obsessed by literature and the ability of using images to tell stories, Navia's work has been published in some of the most outstanding newspapers and magazines. His work has been shown internationally and is included in various collections. His books include monographs like "Navia" (PhotoBolsillo), "Pisadas sonámbulas: lusofonías", "Marruecos, fragmentos de lo cotidiano", "Desde la catedral", "Territorios del Quijote", "Viaje a la Historia" . His work is also included in collective efforts such as "Vu'15 ans", "Viaje a Madrid",   "Diez Miradas", "100 fotógrafos españoles" "Visiones de Marruecos" o "Agence VU' galerie".
