Al-liquindoi is a documentary photography project founded by Jessica Murray and Gonzalo Höhr in Spain. Al-liquindoi organizes workshops and long term education projects in documentary photography and visual storytelling with some of the world's greatest image-makers. Its name, Al-liquindoi, derives from the local slang in Cádiz and means: To be attentive, keeping an eye out for detail... “estar al-liquindoi”

Photography is constantly evolving and changing with the times and its popularity has grown as rapidly as its technical advancement. Al-liquindoi understands that photography is not just a form of artistic expression, but also an important documentary tool that can capture events and convey ideas. Through intensive workshops and seminars on visual storytelling, it aims to immerse students in a learning experience and provide them the knowledge and tools to be able to tell stories effectively. At the same time it lays foundations for network building among image-makers around the world who are interested in dialogue and exchange.
